Among the essentials of efficient organization for operations these days is putting 5S into action. But what is 5S? Well, this is a process that actually originated in Japan. This process involves 5 components - Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke, which actually stands for Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain, in the English language. This is also a process whereby its goal is to create an effective organization system that will uphold strong values which include excess and rubbish management, proper labeling, consistency, improved functionality, and cleanliness.
